Summer Story Round Up

I keep writing and deleting blog posts. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes right now. Some of it is good. Some of it is bad. Most of it is stuff I can’t talk about on the blog. So let’s hit the highlights of the summer and move one…

  • DESERT BOOK is done, finished, polished, and out with editors. The editors will read them sometime between now and never and I may, or may not, hear back from them before the heat death of the universe.
  • The ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS book for this year has been canceled. I’ve rewritten it three times and I’m just not in the right head space for a romcom of any sort. After missing my spring deadline and talking with my agent and editor I’ve decided to not publish a bad book.
  • Instead of a December holiday title I will be releasing the SKELETION ANTHOLOGY, a group of silly short stories about a skeleton and their 3D printer. That’s coming in October and some of the stories are on Patreon.
  • FOR EVERY ACTION, Fleet of Malik #3, is in the works. I’m at 25,000 words with about 95,000 more to write. Right now I’m on track for a Summer 2022 release.
  • The Time & Shadows series is edited, has covers, and will be released this fall. I believe we’re at the Waiting On Proof Copies stage. These are new editions with limited changes. There were things I was unhappy with when I reread the series. Most of it was small things, little word choices that I used when I wrote the series originally but that I don’t approve of any more. The story itself remains unchanged. There will be a Kickstarter for fankits that will feature an annotated edition later this year.
  • If you are looking for something to read right now you can hop over to Patreon for the free summer read which is WHEN YOU WISH ON A DESERT STAR.
