History of the Malik System
1300 Before Landing (BL) – Malik System discovered by the Explorer-class vessel Imperial Pearl.
1100BL – Malik III and Malik IV terraformed to support human life.
1000BL – First wave of colonization begins.
900BL – Wormhole connecting Malik System to the Empire collapses leaving colonists and fleet ships stranded.
600BL – Tension between fleet and colonists reach a breaking point and isolation is declared. Several crews land their ships and give up space flight.
36-18BL – The first civil war between the Warmongers led by the Balaurs and the Allied Crews led by the Carvers. The war was declared over use of the orun crystals used for fuel by the fleet.
18BL – The Carver shuttle Leto crashes near Tarrin and 6yo Perrin Carver is rescued from the wreckage.
5BL – Perrin Carver and Hermione Marshall are accepted into the Academy.
2BL – The second civil war begins with Old Balaur and his grandson Mal leading the Warmongers and Perrin Carver leading the Allied Crews in defense of the colonists.
