“When we last left our intrepid hero…”

*blows dust off blog*

*scrolls through old posts*

When I last updated the blog I was waiting for visas and passports. Let’s check the list and see how this move is going…

✓ Passports
✓ Visas
✓ Flight to Korea
✓ Flight to Seattle to get on the flight to Korea
✓ Hotels
✓ Moveout scheduled
✓ Packers scheduled
✓ House in Korea (waitlisted for an apartment)
✓ Agent notified
_ Pick out outfits for Atomacon
_ Pack for Atomacon
_ Books set for storage
_ Bags packed

I’m almost there! The first round of stuff leaves next week. It’s getting flown out and stored in Korea so we have it on arrival. In two weeks we will pack up everything we are taking with us. Anything left will either get sold or put in storage until we get back to the states.

When do I get back to the good ‘ol US of A?

… um….???

Probably in summer of 2024, but that’s not a firm date so I’m not scheduling any con appearances yet. Not unless the con or my publisher wants to pay for my flight and hotel. Which I don’t think they are keen to do with COVID still being an issue in various parts of the world.

I realize that none of this interests you. Your only concerns are 1) when’s the next book out and 2) when do we get fun pictures?

The good news there is that my next book comes out next week. ESCAPE is a collection of sci-fi short stories and it comes out May 2nd. I will have copies for sale at Atomacon in Charleston on May 13th and 14th so you can get a signed copy if you want one.

The fun pictures should start rolling in around June 1st, when I head down to Atlanta to meet up with Gini Koch, hang out, and generally enjoy a big city with excellent public transport. Because I’m moving to a big city with excellent public transport and I want practice.

I will be in Atlanta for a week. For all my local friends… if you have my contact info, call me, let’s do lunch!

The second week of June I fly to Seattle for a week. Again, my friends, if you have my contact info, call me and let’s do lunch!

I will arrive in Korea on June 13th and as soon as I recover from the very long slight I will start posting pictures on all the usual social media channels (Twitter and Insta).

Until next time… have fun, be yourself, and do something daring!
